Alumni Partners is a leading multi-disciplinary law firm, with 25 years of expertise and a team of 90+ highly specialized professionals. Consistently ranked among the top local and international legal firms, Alumni Partners sought to revitalize its digital presence as part of its next growth phase. Tasked with designing a new corporate website, we collaborated closely with their team to envision a bold, unconventional solution that would set them apart from conservative industry standards, shaping an image of a forward-looking firm with a legacy of success.
Concept
The lawyers at Alumni Partners are experts who adapt seamlessly to shifts in the legal landscape, delivering agile solutions for their clients. We captured their balance of tradition and innovation in the Neo Lawyers concept, built on clean typography, ample white space, and precise color accents. A gradient in Alumni’s signature orange grounds the visual language, underscoring the team's modern and progressive outlook.
Design
We refreshed the Alumni Partners logo using the PP Neue Montreal font, which also became the foundation of our typography. Modern and bold, this typeface seamlessly integrates both Cyrillic and Latin scripts, making it ideal for a bilingual site. Complementing this, the Atlas Typewriter font — with its narrow, refined lines — evokes the clear, optimistic style of Dutch modernism. Together, the fonts embody the Neo Lawyers concept, balancing precision with unique character.
Given the site’s complex architecture, we structured the sections to guide users through cross-linked blocks. From a lawyer’s profile, users can easily navigate to their specific area of expertise and explore which other team members specialize in the same field. The “Expertise” section includes project cases, allowing users to jump directly to detailed case pages.
Filters and quick search options enhance navigation, making it easy for users to find the content they need. The team page allows users to find lawyers by role or specialty, while the “Expertise” and “Projects & Clients” sections offer case studies that can be sorted by practice area or industry.
Content — news, announcements, articles, and reports — uses a modular block design with distinct formats tailored for each category. The layout assembles like building blocks, allowing Alumni to structure information and create pages of any complexity.
Within each page, left-side anchor links serve as quick navigational points to key information, such as lawyer or HR contacts, locations, and event dates.
Photography Style and 3D Illustrations
The website design expanded into a micro-rebranding, influencing other touchpoints. We carried the visual language of the Neo Lawyers concept into the photography style, using brand colors as backgrounds and introducing a gradient transition in photo animations to reflect the brand's dynamic energy.
Expressive graphic elements, including smooth, transparent CGI objects, represent Alumni Partners' commitment to exceptional client service while allowing room for metaphor. We also added new shades to the color palette to complement the core tones and enhance the overall visual experience.
